I tried to get a clean shot of this bird, but he was so shy.  He just wouldn’t hang around long enough for me to focus in on him.

This little guy is so pretty he’s sticking his tongue out at all the girls.  Look at me.

Color of royal purple, no doubt in my mind this is royalty.

Yesterday I upgraded my Mac with the new security updates and in doing so it borked my older copy of photoshop.  I’m using Iphoto and older version for this posting.  I hate trying to learn new software sometimes.

I’m a lucky fellow to have such beautiful birds land on my feeder allowing me to see such beauty and photograph them.

No doubt about it, those eyes can see very well and he see me very well.

He got himself dinner, a Gamble’s Quail, caught by this tagged youngester

A very mature Sharp Skinned Hawk, I’ve seen several juveniles that I thought were mature but after seeing this bird.  I now realize they were younger birds. 

Sunset in the high desert last night was something to see

There was this strange cloud formation this morning.

I can’t help myself, I just had to take another picture of these beautiful Costa’s Hummingbirds

They are flashes of fire that catch my eyes as they hover around the feeder

Banded Bird showed up right at dark last night.  He was unsuccessful at catching his dinner at the feeder.

I loved his music, and his death was a huge loss.

Reminds me of the noise the redpolls use to make on the feeder back on the old Permafrost Ranch.  I’m sure many of you remember this when it was streamed live from North Pole.
