http://www.mariomarathon.com/, a charity event played out by several men to raise money for http://www.childsplaycharity.org/ will begin June 25th 11:00 AM ET.

The aim to to get as much money raised as possible, which will go directly to child's play and require the Mario marathon team to play more levels throughout the games. They have successfully raised around $45,000 the last two years and received 300,000 unique listeners. During the event there will be surprises, twists, and contests for the community to play. In which, you can receive several items if you win. This year will mark the biggest, longest, and most successful Marathon yet! Spread the word, tweet them out, it's for a good cause!

Hello Stuzilla stalkers!

I would like to tell you about an up-coming event that is rather exciting. On July 10th at 9:00 AM ET, the guys at http://mariomarathon.com/ will be streaming live, on Ustream. The point of this stream is to raise money for Child's Play, a charity that donates games and other equipment to kids in hospitals around the world. These people play several Mario games back to back, completing them fully. This process can take several days, but they continue playing, alternating people so the others can sleep. They attempt to raise as much money as they can while the stream is going. Anyone can donate, including you.

I took part in this event last year, and it was exciting to watch and see games you once played many years ago put to use. My goal at the moment is to get the word out.
